Beru Early Years was founded in 2023 by Sahithi Sagar, an advocate of Reggio Emilia. Sahithi is driven by her steadfast passion for education and children. She has honed her skillset of the renowned Reggio Emilia approach through research, including the successful completion of the School management and leadership with Harvard Business School, and attending several international conferences hosted by experts from the field. A constant learner herself, she also conducts in-house training for educators regularly. With an undying belief that children are competent learners, Sahithi firmly believes in finding a balance between a structured and inquiry-based curriculum, as a deep understanding of language, social skills, creativity, and critical thinking. By being allowed to follow their own interests, children develop curiosity, a passion for learning and a growth mindset. She believes that through this balance, children, an absorber of knowledge and protagonist of their own learning, can be given agency over their learning for them to express their thoughts, feelings and imagination and turn learning from a chore, into a desire.
