The greatest privilege in my life is to lead this wonderful school which truly is a school focused on learning and in which the voice of all: students, staff, and parents are heard and valued. We have a ‘can do’ culture that ensures the teachers are constantly innovating to make learning stays our focus, and that the lives of our students are filled with meaningful and purposeful experiences. As the de facto British School of Mumbai and the only COBIS-accredited member school in India, we are the obvious choice for international families. What is a British International School? For us, it is one where the curriculum is based on leading English programmes of learning, and in which safeguarding for students is at the heart of all we do. It is our international ethos and composition which is valued by all parents in the school. This sets us apart in Mumbai as a truly international school, where our students grow up developing the skills of intercultural competence, which sets them up as future change-makers in our global community. We are continuing to take advantage of our German heritage by collaborating with the Indo-German Chamber of Commerce to promote exciting opportunities for study and work in Germany. We publish a student German newspaper, offer an inspirational programme of talks, and are developing links with the Ernst-Sigle-Gymnasium Kornwestheim in Stuttgart, and the Deutsche Schule New Delhi with whom we are undertaking student exchange visits.
