Renowned chartered accountant by profession, Mr. Subramanian was associated with several large private sector and public sector undertakings. At AAIS, he was at its helm, steering the School’s vision of a quality and affordable international education. Shri. Subramanian’s long-term dream had been to build a high-quality educational institution, with values that would mould and mentor children to become world-class global citizens. His passion for education stemmed from his family lineage, where education was always been cherished and nourished. Hailing from a family of erudite scholars, he truly believed that education must be holistic, focusing on the 21st-century needs of inculcating essential skills and attitudes. The need to impart this from a young age prompted Sri R. Subramanian to take the initial step of establishing a K-12 school. In line with this philosophy, the International Baccalaureate and the Cambridge International Examination programmes were adopted as the Curricula at Akshar Arbol International School. His practice of integrating and inter-weaving contemporary practices with the traditional Indian value system has been the hallmark of the School’s Philosophy.
