Six decades back, eminent personalities like the first Chief Minister of Kerala, Sri EMS and the then opposition leader of Indian Parliament, Sri AKG took initiative to form Kerala Education Society, Delhi. This society was formed for promoting education, our culture and Malayalam language among the children of several lakhs of Keralites living in the National Capital Territory. At present the Society is running four senior secondary schools with 95% grant in aid given by the Government of National Capital Territory, Delhi. These schools are linguistic minority institutions and Malayalam, a classical language, is compulsorily taught till 10th Standard."
