Baynes Memorial Baptist Church Matriculation Higher Secondary School comprises of Lower Kinder Gard en to Std. XII. The medium of instruction is English. The Madras English Baptist Church was founded on 21 November 1847. In 1850, the Church Started the Baptist Mission School in the Present Building 1. In the year 1900 the school was discontinued. The Rt Rev. Edward Aaron Chowryappah Baynes, B.D., served the Church faithfully from 1939-1969. When the present Sr. Missionary Pastor and Chairman, The Rt Rev. Dr.J.A.L. Baynes, S.B. took over, the Lord Jesus Christ guided the Board of Trustees to start the Baynes Memorial Baptist Church Matriculation School in the same Building 1 on January 4,1971. By the Grace of God and because of first Class Teaching and professional management, the School was Recognised by The University of Madras June from 1976. Thereafter it was upgraded as a Higher Secondary School from June 1981. In process of time, the Ebenezer Baptist Church and The Baynes Memorial Baptist Church Matriculation Higher Secondary School at Jaladianpet was started in 1987. the Calvary Baptist Church was founded at David Nagar, Padappai. The First batch of Matriculation students appeared in March / April 2002. The Motto of the School from inception is IN GOD WE TRUST
